Mid Singles HEG - Special Service Project- April 11, 2016

This week we will be supporting Boulder in a their special Home Evening Group (HEG).  Here are the details:

Location: 650 S. Taylor Ave. Louisville, CO 80027

Time: 6pm-8pm

We have the opportunity to do a service project at Community Food Share in Louisville for HEG!!!

I love Community Food Share. They are an incredible organization that helps so many people that are hungry in Colorado. And, Community Food Share has a lot of food sorting going on, and they need some additional help. They normally close at 3:00 on Mondays, but they are staying open later this Monday, which means we can help! It's an earlier start time, and we need at least 10 people, so if you can possibly make it, please do! 

This is a great way to give back to the community and to those in need. 1-6 people in our county is living in poverty, so it's a real need. And, some of those may be refugees, so this may be an indirect way to start our efforts to reach out locally :).

What you will be doing: Most likely, we will be in their warehouse, helping them with incoming donations (sorting, organizing and weighing, etc.) or helping them prepare food
for distribution (packaging in bags, boxes or filling shelves) so that it is ready for shipping or shopping.

Clothing: All warehouse volunteers must wear shoes that cover their toes, (NO sandals) and shirts must have sleeves, (NO sleeveless tops). Purses can be cumbersome, safest place for them is locked inside your car.
